Mikayla Gililand

Mikayla was born and raised in Oshawa. In 2017 her family and herself packed their bags and moved to a 100-acre farm in Bethany, quite the change from city life. The first thing Mikayla did was buy a few chickens and over time her ‘flock’ has grown.

Mikayla has always been drawn to animals, be they big, small, furry or feathered, so when it came time to get a job closer to home, she found herself applying to vets to pursue her dream of working with animals. Mikayla first started her career in the veterinary world in 2020 and has loved every moment, the good, bad and the ugly.

Mikayla has always grown up with animals and currently has a large brood of her own. Her three cats, Dot, Ruby and Posie and new puppy Daisy May. And along with her four in the house, there’s also her sister’s two cats Lucy and Salem and her parent’s pups Murphy and Teddy, it’s a large group that fill our house with so much love and joy.

You’ll find Mikayla at the front desk greeting you and getting ready to steal your pets for some cuddles.
