  • Reach Out To An Emergency Provider - If an emergency occurs outside of our regular office hours, contact one of the after-hours emergency veterinary care options listed above.
  • Follow Instructions Provided - Once in contact with a veterinary team, you will be given instructions to follow. These instructions may help you apply first aid or otherwise make your pet comfortable. Please, follow them carefully.
  • Remain Calm - While going through these steps or transporting your pet, remain calm and be extra careful. When an animal is in pain they often react negatively towards anyone trying to help and could bite or scratch.
  • Bring Your Pet In For Care - Once your pet is secured and you are safely able to do so, bring them to our Millbrook veterinary clinic or a nearby after-hours emergency vet.

  • Follow Instructions Provided - After being triaged by one of Smart.Vet's on-call RVTs, you will either be connected with one of their veterinarians for urgent but non-life-threatening care or referred to an emergency hospital in our area for immediate attention.
